The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead
Hey Folks,
Can you believe that March is almost over? This year seems to be going by super fast for me.
I hope everyone had an awesome week because I sure did!
Remember how I said I applied for college at the beginning of the month?
Well I got a call on Thursday from their admissions department and I GOT IN!
I'm going to be doing the Early Childhood Education program and I start in September and I can't wait for classes to begin.
I just hope next week is just as good.
Have an awesome first week of April!

Freebies from Monday's Night Out with Authors event:
I had this one given to me by the awesome Mary Sullivan who has to be one of the nicest authors I met, plus she knew Darren by name and I liked our brief chat, I'm so glad to be reviewing this for a local author.

ReplyDeleteThanks Iza! I had a lot of free time this week so I binged on my books lol.
DeleteYou did had indeed a fab week. Firstly - Congrats on getting the place on the college course, wonderful news. Is that what you want to do than for a career I guess. Early Childhood is Pre-school? Oh and I would love to go to an author's event, I should have a look actually when they have some in my area.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by :)
Thanks Peggy! ECE would qualify me to work as a teachers assistant for young kids, in a preschool or a daycare. I definitely recommend checking out whether there are any author events in your area.
DeleteCongrats on getting into college! That's fantastic! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Check out my Sunday Post and my current giveaways!
Thanks for stoppin' by Kim

ReplyDeleteGreat haul - I wish I could read as fast you ;) Have a great week next week!
Thank you Kristin! I'm really looking forward to working with kids again. I did co-op in high school at my old primary school and loved it.
DeleteIt certainly looks like you had a great week! Also, congrats on your college acceptance. :)
ReplyDeleteJessica @ Tales Between the Pages
Thank you Jessica :)
DeleteCongratulations on your admission news. And holy moly, that is an awesome book haul you had this week! I so wish we had author nights where I live, but I don't know anyone who would come out to the sticks for things like that. Especially since it's still cold as heck here! Have a great week and again, congrats on your great news!
ReplyDeleteI found out about this bi-monthly event by fluke last year and I'm so glad I keep going. Maybe there's one in a city near you? Thanks for stopping by Kat
DeleteCongrats on the college!!! You got lots of good looking books. Happy reading.
ReplyDeleteJenea @ Books Live Forever's Sunday Post
Thanks Jenea!
Delete*high five* for college! Hats off to you for going into the field. I love kids, but couldn't be around them like that everyday. You rock. Enjoy all of your awesome books!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christy! I did a co-op placement in high school and I really enjoyed it. I seem to get along with mini humans more than grownups in work situations lol plus I want a job one day that will be fun (even if children are little incubators for disease)
DeleteCongrats!! Hope school works out wonderfully for you! Looks like a a pretty busy week! I really liked the Earl in My Bed, hope you enjoy all your new books!
ReplyDeleteCyn @ Bookmunchies
Thanks Cyn, I've got my fingers crossed that I enjoy this program more than my last one :)
DeleteCongrats on your acceptance! It's a fun and challenging field and you won't learn half what you need to know until you're actually 9n the classroom. :D You'll really appreciate your fun reading once classes start. :)
ReplyDeleteI've done college before so I know I might have to give up my reading time a bit. I'm just glad I got into the closer campus since Its only a 30 minute commute on the bus instead of my hour and a half long one way commute last time. It'll be fun to work around kids again.
DeleteYou have been busy busy on the blog this week!! I am off to check out all that you did.
ReplyDeleteAngie
