1. I go through phases where I don't check my e-mail, Twitter, Goodreads or the blog's Facebook page for messages. I like going off grid every now and again..though I should probably stop that.
2. I sometimes want to take on co-bloggers, because it would help out a lot, but honestly I just can't do it. Turning the Pages is my baby.
3. I want to get a custom layout done, but I keep putting it off because...well. There are books to be bought.
4. I lurk a lot of blogs without commenting. I know I should comment, but sometimes I just like reading posts :)
5. I hate when I'm behind on blog comments, (like I am now) but in my defence that only happens when something is going on in the "real" world. Last week was horrid and this week isn't looking any better. I will answer your comments as soon as I can though.
6. Sometimes I sign up for too many tours at once but I've been working on that and so far this year blog tour wise I'm a lot less stressed.
7. My folks have never read my blog. Mostly because they don't use the computer (seriously my dad hasn't touched a computer in almost 15 years) and I'm kind of embarrassed for them to read certain romance reviews.
8. I love doing cover reveals. Even if it means I have 10 posts up a day, I just love helping authors out.
9. I like keeping all my memes in separate posts. I don't put all the day's meme posts together and I know a lot of people do, but I just can't do it.
10. This blog brings out the best, and the worst in me. It makes me incredibly happy, but also incredibly stressed. This is my second long-term relationship and I love it but it's like any relationship, there are ups and downs. I've thought about quitting more times than I care to mention, but it is you my fellow blogger, my readers that keep me doing this because withouth TTP I never would have "met" so many incredible people.
What's your Top 10 this Tuesday?

I especially love #10, Kim. Don't give up, we love your blog! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't stand when I am behind blog comments either. It drives me nuts. I will eventually just sit and spend a few hours and do it. I have to agree about having a love/hate relationship with blogging. Sometimes it just drives me nuts!

Top Ten Tuesday
I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with my blog too. More often that not though I do adore it! :-) Great confessions!
ReplyDeleteLove your list :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love a customer blog layout/design too, but it's so expensive!

Haha, one of my confessions is that my mother does read my blog.
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking about a custom professional layout too, but it's... Like you said re: taking on co-bloggers, it's my baby! It might not be very fancy, but every bit of it is mine.
My confessions.
Yes to number 10! The thing about your family made me laugh. I don't think my family reads mine either which when I'm reviewing a romance it's kind of nice to not have my grandmother knowing what I'm reading!
ReplyDeleteI agree with #4 wholeheartedly!
ReplyDeleteKimberly, kudos to you and your 10 best. I feel the same about almost every number, especially the sharing and the incredible peeps I've met since I started blogging.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work!!! I LOVE YOUR Blog

ReplyDeleteI've referred to my blog as a long-term relationship, too! And well, it's been with me longer than any boyfriend! <3
I'd also love to have a co-blogger . . . but we'd have to be on the same creative page! I wouldn't mind someone reviewing stuff I wouldn't normally pick or having a different opinion on a book or movie, but what I really want a partner for are the short-term blog series that I occasionally do. These are big events for my blog, and I make them as interactive as possible for my commenters, but it's exhausting to be the only one doing behind-the-scenes work.
I'm with you. I want to update my layout and background and such, but I don't want to pay for it when I could buy more books! :) I also read a lot of posts that I don't comment on. Sometimes I just don't have anything to say about what I've read. I don't think I could take on a co-blogger either. I'm too much of a control freak. Nice confessions!

Number 10, all the way! Also, I'd love to update my blog, too. I even bought the domain name and I'm paying for self-hosting... but I can't seem to find the time to figure out how to switch to WordPress. Arrgh. I should probably just hire someone to do it for me but I always seem to spend the money on books. :-)
