2012 Turning the Pages Christmas Card Exhange

Turning the Pages

GRAB THE CODE!

I don't know about you but I absolutely love exchanges Christmas cards with people and it's probably one of my favourite things about the holiday so for the last couple weeks since the tv started having Christmas commercials I've been bouncing this idea around.

This is the start of something that I hope will be an annual event on Turning the Pages and I hope everyone enjoys it.

The Who:

YOU!
Too vague?
To be more specific I mean BLOGGERS (Authors if you want in on this as well you're welcome to sign up I just ask for you not to use this for promotional purposes. I will be checking!)

What to do:

E-mail me (Kimberly) @ Turning.the.pages@hotmail.com (Just copy and paste it)
with the subject line Christmas Card Exchange and if you could please add the button to your blog!

What's needed:

You're name, e-mail address and snail mail address and blog link also please specify if you are a BLOGGER or an AUTHOR.

How Many Cards do you send out?

Well that's up to you. I'm sending one out to everyone but you don't have to I just ask that you send out as many as you can/want! All I ask is try not to leave out the international people.
What's going to happen:

I will be putting everyone's name, e-mail address and snail mail address into a spread sheet and when the cut off date (November 25th) comes about I will e-mail everyone on the spread sheet with all the addresses as well as a link to your blog (and whether you're a BLOGGER or an AUTHOR) for you to send out your cards this year.
When you send your cards e-mail me and I'll check your name off. Also please tell me who you're sending cards to so I can keep track of everyone!
You can send X-mas post cards as well and if you have the time/money you can add a little something to the card as well (Extra stuff in the envelope isn't a requirement).
Please send your cards out before December 10th 2012 as the postal services get really busy.

I know some people think sending cards out of the US is expensive but it isn't (trust me we send about a billion cards to Australia, South Africa, Ireland and the UK every year from Canada) so be prepared to send some international snail mail envelopes out.
If you have a probablem and cannot get your cards out by December 10th e-mail me and I'll tell everyone you'll be a little late. Since it's such a busy time of year I advise putting the cut off date for sign ups November 25th as well as the Mailing cut off date December 10th on your calenders (I will send two reminders to everyone. One on December 2nd and again on December 8th.

Now I hope I was pretty clear (I've never done one of these before) so if you do have any questions, concerns or minor suggestions don't hesitate to shoot me a line at turning.the.pages@hotmail.com or on the blog's facebook page CLICK HERE and I'll get back to you ASAP! Also I've created the hashtag #TurningthePagesXmasCardXchange

Dates to Remember:

Sign up cut off date: November 25th 2012
Mail cut off date: December 10th 2012

Also, since this is the first year don't be surprised if this year's sign up is on the smaller side. The important thing is spreading Christmas cheer!
