What a read! Should've Known Better by Cassandra Carr was my second sports romance that I read last week that really surprised me with how much I ended up enjoying it.

Should've Known Better is the story of Sara and Sebastian's unlikely love story. I thought the romance between the two characters was fantastic. The book was full of sexual tension and the chemistry between the two characters was piping hot.

At first I wasn't sure what to think of the main characters independently but I ended up really liking Sebastian despite some character flaws that he had to work on but the same could be said for Sara. For me though Sara was the star of the book for me. I liked her a lot by the time the book finished and thought she was a strong woman plus I admired her for going after such a young guy! More power to her I say.

While the two of them obviously have a strong connection there are forces at bay that neither one can really control and it they have to be careful because both of their jobs are on the line but I liked the whole cat and mouse game that the author had the characters play though half the time I wanted to shove them together and yell "GET IT OVER WITH ALREADY!" because I wanted them to be together so bad.

Overall, Should've Known Better was a really good contemporary romance novel and I loved how the author was able to weave the sports theme into the story so well. Like I said I really liked the characters and thought they both brought a lot to the table and the romance between them was as pretty darn close to perfect as you can get. This was my first time reading a book by Cassandra Carr and it won't be my last by any means and I hope that she continues writing more books with this same theme because I would buy them all.

I would highly recommend Should've Known Better to any and all fans of the contemporary romance genre especially if you like the sports theme like I'm starting to really enjoy. The writing is great, very well paced and has really likable characters with a love story you can sink into.
