Quote-Tastic Monday #13

This one is simple and just about sharing your favorite quotes and the books they come from! Hosted by the FABULOUS Anna at Herding Cats & Burning Soup

Beyond the Highland Mist (Highlander, #1)
Cover taken from Goodreads.com

In her dreams the Hawk would be waiting for her by the sea's edge; her kilt-clad, magnificent Scottish laird. He would smile and his eyes would crinkle, then turn dark with
smoldering passion.
She would take his hand and lay it gently on her swelling abdomen, and his face would blaze with happiness and
pride. Then he would take her gently, there on the cliff's edge, in tempo with the pounding of the ocean. He would
make fierce and possessive love to her and she would hold on to him as tightly as she could. But before dawn, he would melt right through her fingers. And she would wake up, her cheeks wet with tears and her hands clutching nothing but a bit of quilt or pillow.”

    1. I read this one sooo long ago and I liked it but it was one that took me ages to get into but turned out to be really worth it. I still have to read book 2 and have yet to start her Fever series.

  3. My sister was completely in love with this series and waited impatiently for each new book. I tried to read the Fever series by the author and ended up pitching the book into the wall in chapter 2. Maybe I should give the author's work a second chance and start this series.

    1. I can see why she was in love with it :) I haven't started the Fever series yet but I've heard it can rub people the wrong way at first but you kinda have to stick it out for a bit.
      Thanks for stopping by!

    1. I think you would like this one Kimberly. It's a time travel romance novel mixed with paranormal and historical romance.
