Quote-Tastic Monday #62

This one is simple and just about sharing your favorite quotes and the books they come from! Hosted by the FABULOUS Anna at Herding Cats & Burning Soup

Wild Man Creek (Virgin River, #14)

Summary:

SOMETIMES LOVE TAKES ROOT IN UNEXPECTED PLACES—IF YOU’LL ONLY LET IT GROW

Colin Riordan came to Virgin River to recuperate from a horrific helicopter crash, the scars of which he bears inside and out. His family is wonderfully supportive, but it’s his art than truly soothes his troubled soul.

Stung personally and professionally by an ill-advised affair, PR guru Jillian Matlock arrived in town via golden parachute. She’s bought an old Victorian with a promising garden and is looking forward to cultivating something other than a corporate brand.

When Jillian finds Colin at his easel in her yard, there’s an instant connection. But both are holding romance at arm’s length— looking to simplify, not complicate, their lives. And Jill may yet be lured back to Silicon Valley...

No one arrives in Virgin River without a story, and no one leaves—if they ever do—unchanged.

“Maybe we’ll admit this thing we have is perfect, not worth messing around with. And stay together forever. If you’re interested, that is.”
She glanced away. “I could think about that.”
He buried his face in her neck. “Think fast”

I really liked Jillian and Colin. The way they were together was sweet and I liked how they remained independent while being so close, plus I loved returning to Virgin River for the first time in over a year and a half.

  1. Oh I think I'd like them. I didn't make it to this book in the series. I really need to grab them up again. Reviewing just got in the way. *flails*

    1. Ohhh you have to get back to them Anna, they're my go to books when I feel depressed lol, they're just so warm and comforting that, as silly as it's gonna sound, that the books make me feel like I'm wrapped up in a big hug when I read 'em.
