I love stories that are told in two different times and I love anything that touches on prehistoric fiction. This is one I can't wait to get my hands on. Plus I'm really loving this cover.

I love a good old Victorian mystery especially with a female protagonist. Plus she's a med student turned detective? Awesome.

The Last Neanderthal reminds me of Labyrinth by Kate Mosse, with the dual timelines...maybe that's what you're thinking of?

DeleteThe Last Neanderthal isn't a book that would usually grab me with the Neanderthal timeline but the premise is so intriguing! The Wages of Sin looks amazing! Love the idea of a female medical student in the 1890s and really a medical student as a detective in general. Need to check this one out!

DeleteBoth of these have interesting premises. The first reminds me faintly of what Susanna Kearsley would write. For new books that are so new, I tend to wait to see what others think of it unless I totally know the author.
ReplyDeleteThanks Stephanie! I've yet to dip my toe into Kearsley's writings but I know she writes a lot of dual timelines in her stories. I'm not much of a waiter lol, I see a new book and have to try it...especially if it's not one of the *top* books.
