I'm Canadian.
I live in Toronto.
I support gay rights.
It's my opinion that if two people wish to be together let them. I have several gay, bi-sexual and lesbian friends but I don't look at them as those things. When I see them I don't say "Hey, there's my gay/bi/lesbian friend *Insert Name Here*".
What I see are my friends.
Friends whom I believe deserve the right to marry and openly share their love for one another.
If we can end other human rights injustices why can we not end this one?
Of course I believe everyone has their opinion.
You don't have to support mine but I ask you to respect it.
Anyways, let's get onto the giveaway hop shall we?
The Prize:
Summary:
A male prostitute, a mangy cat, a murder and a maniacal mix-up that threatens his career, his impending marriage and his life. Nothing is going as planned for Austin Glass.
Austin — seems to have it all. At least on the surface. A loving fiancee. A future with the FBI and a healthy sized trust fund. He also has a grin and a wisecrack for every situation. But the smile he presents to everyone hides a painful past he’s buried too deeply to remember. And his quips mask bitterness and insecurity. Austin has himself and most of the whole world fooled. Until he meets someone who immediately sees him better than he sees himself.
As events unfold and Austin’s world unravels, he finds himself pushed into making quick life-changing decisions. But can he trust Peter or what’s happening between them when each meeting seems to be just a series of volatile reactions?

ReplyDeleteI believe everyone deserves to be Openly Happy in Life, to be with the Person who Loves & Completes Them, without having to be subjected to the ignorance of some close-minded people. True Love does not see Race, Gender, Socio-Economic Status, etc….if people understood that, there would be so much more Happiness in this World.
ReplyDeleteI would very much appreciate the opportunity to be considered in your very generous giveaway for a chance to win an e-copy of Shattered Glass by Dani Alexander. Thank You for participating in the Hop Against Homophobia.
Take care & Stay Naughty,

Thank you so much for participating in the hop. I hope that this helps to spread the word and that one day a hop like this will no longer be needed. I have shown many of the post to my nieces and nephews. We recently have been discussing how damaging bullying is and how innocent remarks can make you be seen as being a bully. One of the things that makes me mad is when I hear...you're so gay... pisses me off. These post have helped them already. I heard my nephew stand up to someone that called someone else a hurtful name... I was so proud. Thank you all for helping by sharing hurtful and/sad memories and your personal views/message.
ReplyDeleteI pray one day for equality for EVERYONE not just some.

Equality for all. Simple concept. Why is it so difficult to find? Maybe one day soon. :)

It appears that I am too late to enter the contest, but since that prize is already on my TBL I won't be missing out.
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by all the participants to thank everyone for sharing their thoughts and joining in the hop.
Oh and I LOVE your blog banner. Makes my own look rather rubbish in comparison. :-)
