Summary:
WHAT IS OLDEST WILL BE NEW, WHAT IS LOST SHALL BE FOUND.
The ozone is ravaged, ocean levels have risen, and the sun is a daily enemy. But global climate change is not something new in the Earth’s history.
No one will know this better than less-than-ordinary Owen Parker, who is about to discover that he is the descendant of a highly advanced ancient race—a race that took their technology too far and almost destroyed the Earth in the process.
Now it is Owen’s turn to make right in his world what went wrong thousands of years ago. If Owen can unlock the lost code in his very genes, he may rediscover the forgotten knowledge of his ancestry…and that less-than-ordinary can evolve into extraordinary.

Why I'm Waiting:
I'm waiting because I have a weird obsession with all things Atlantis. I think this is because I loved the Disney animated movie by the same name so much, and well the summary has me really intrigued!
Summary:
Anna and Bennett were never supposed to meet: she lives in 1995 Chicago and he lives in 2012 San Francisco. But Bennett’s unique ability to travel through time and space brings him into Anna’s life, and with him, a new world of adventure and possibility.
As their relationship deepens, they face the reality that time might knock Bennett back where he belongs, even as a devastating crisis throws everything they believe into question. Against a ticking clock, Anna and Bennett are forced to ask themselves how far they can push the bounds of fate—and what consequences they can bear in order to stay together.
Fresh, exciting, and deeply romantic, TIME BETWEEN US is a stunning and spellbinding debut from an extraordinary new talent in YA fiction.

Why I'm waiting:
Now this isn't the usual type of book I would read, I tend to stay away from books like this and to be honest I may be in the majority by saying this but what draws me to it most is the summary as I don't really care for the cover. It sound like a really good read. I love time travel books but I'm not a fan of more realistic YA fiction.
Now, what are YOU waiting for this Wednesday?
time between us looks good.. these days if its YA i'll read.. <3 Autumn
ReplyDeleteDying to read this one. Love time travel romances! Thanks for sharing :)

Both very nice choices, interesting enough. Atlantis is always something to go for, so you have my blessing for that. ^^ Timetravellers, however, aren't something that I'd pick up either - but the summary does sound very nice!

Both of these look like they'll be amazing reads. I'm with you when you said that the synopsis drew you to Time Between Us, I'm really not a fan of that cover either!

I'm a huge Atlantis fan as well so I have Lost Code on my list. Time Between Us sounds interesting though, I agree, kinda boring cover.
