Dirty Little Secret #14

Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by at Under the Covers. Every Thursday they ask a question hoping to reveal other bloggers "dirty little secrets"

This week's question is:

"What is your take on anthologies? Love them? Hate them? And what is the last anthology you've read and enjoyed?"

I'm not particularly fond of anthologies. I never have been and I suppose its because I love immersing myself in full length novels that short story collections and anthologies don't really have much of an appeal to me. However, every once in a while there comes along one gem in the midst of all the duds that impresses me.
The last anthology I read and enjoyed was:

It was the perfect holiday book and I loved all three stories in it because I love Debbie Macomber's and Robyn Carr's holiday stories and Sherryl Woods was a new to me author at the time. There's just something about this book that was really endearing.

What about you? Do you like anthologies? Do you hate them? What are the best that you've read? What ones were the worst?

Dirty Little Secret #13

Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by at Under the Covers. Every Thursday they ask a question hoping to reveal other bloggers "dirty little secrets"

This week's question is:

"All your favourite characters and celebs have been entered into the SEXY OLYMPICS! Who would win your Gold, Silver and Bronze and why" Pick only characters from books you've read THIS year.
Bronze Goes To:
Eternal Rider (Lords of Deliverance, #1)

Ares from Larissa Ione's Lords of Deliverance series.
He's immortal.
He's Ares as in the Ares of Greek Legends.
He comes in third because while he's supposed to be breathtakingly gorgeous I'm not a fan of his personality.
He's nice to imagine but he gets blown out of the water by my gold an silver medalists.

Silver Goes To:
Seven Years to Sin

In second place is Alistair Caufield from Sylvia Day's erotic historical romance Seven Years to Sin.
His tortured soul is a real selling point as well as the fact that he has a brain.
Basically he's the whole package...well Almost!

Gold Goes To:
Outlander (Outlander, #1)

Jamie Fraser from Diana Gabaldon's Outlander.
He's young (20's)
He's a highlander.
He's a warrior.
He has a Scottish brogue.
He's the whole package! I can't help but love him :)

Who are YOUR sexy Olympians?

Dirty Little Secret #12

Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by at Under the Covers. Every Thursday they ask a question hoping to reveal other bloggers "dirty little secrets"

This week's question is:

What book have you read recently that has surprised you (good or bad!), or that has been outside your normal reading genre?

Comanche Moon (Comanche #1) Comanche Heart (Comanche #2)

For me it would have to be Comanche Moon (Comanche #1) by Catherine Anderson and Comanche Heart (Comanche #2) by Catherine Anderson I just thought they were going to be the typical western romances but boy was I ever wrong. I actually got so attached to the characters and I enjoy her writing so much that she's already one of my favourite authors and I've only read these 2 books by her in the last week! If you like western historical romances or historical romances in general check them out!

What about you?
What book have you read recently that has surprised you (good or bad!), or that has been outside your normal reading genre?

Dirty Little Secret #11

Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by at Under the Covers. Every Thursday they ask a question hoping to reveal other bloggers "dirty little secrets"

This week's question is:

What book would you recommend to to heat up your summer?

It was way to hard for me to think of just one book to recommend I thought I would recommend a whole series so newbies to the series and old fans who have yet to read the rest of the series.
I myself am reading Lover Unleashed and I have high hopes for this one! I love the entire series and if you want something to read to heat up your summer these are perfect!

What would you recommend as a hot summer read?

Dirty Little Secret #10

Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by at Under the Covers. Every Thursday they ask a question hoping to reveal other bloggers "dirty little secrets"

This week's question is:

Share your experiences with blogging!
List TWO "Don't" and one "Do" when it comes to blogging and reviewing.

Do:

Review the books that you want to review. Be they new or old your blog is first and foremost for you no one else. I'm not saything there is anything wrong with reading only new releases but just make sure what you're reviewing is what you want to review.

Don't
Do NOT get to review crazy. I know it's nice to be contacted for reviews but you can very easily get bombarded for reviews and overwhelmed. It's okay to say no to a review request. Just do it nicely.

Dirty Little Secret #9

Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by at Under the Covers. Every Thursday they ask a question hoping to reveal other bloggers "dirty little secrets"

This week's question is:

What's the sexiest item of clothing a hero can wear in a novel?

What an easy question! A kilt of course. I love me some higlanders. Besides it's a well known fact that they wear nada underneath isn't it convenient for easy access?
What about YOU? What's YOUR answer?

Dirty Little Secret #8

Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by at Under the Covers. Every Thursday they ask a question hoping to reveal other bloggers "dirty little secrets"

This week's question is:

If you could read one book again for the first time,
which one would you pick and why?

I know, I always seem to pick this book for my DLS posts but it is that damn good.
I first tried to read Outlander back when I was 13 but couldn't get into it, then I read it again when I was 20 (2 years ago) and I fell in love with it.
Currently I'm re-reading it so that I can continue with the series.
I remember the first time I read it how blown away I was by the writing and how she wrote such an amazing book rich with history.
Now that I'm re-reading it the magic is still there but I'd love to capture that feeling I had when I read it the first time.

What book do YOU wish you could read for the first time again?

Dirty Little Secret #7

Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by at Under the Covers. Every Thursday they ask a question hoping to reveal other bloggers "dirty little secrets"

This week's question is:

We've heard a rumor that Ryan Seacrest is using Fifty Shades of Grey as a manual in the bedroom.
What book would you give a guy to study up on?

Well now isn't this an interesting question...
Let me think...
Okay.
I've got my TOP TWO choices I'd use give as studying material:

Because Jamie Fraser knows his stuff, Plus I like me a highlander don't you? He's got youth and stamina, rugged good looks, and a scottish brogue.
Need I say more?
Men could do to learn a little somethin' somethin' from him :)

and

Because John Matthew is AWESOME!
I anxiously eagerly awaited for his transition and when it did and Ward wrote his book...
BAM!
I love him.
I really do.
Men should read this one :)
What book would YOU give a guy to study up on?

Dirty Little Secret #6

Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by at Under the Covers. Every Thursday they ask a question hoping to reveal other bloggers "dirty little secrets"

This week's question is:

If we were unforgivably rude and snatched your purse from you, what would we find inside?

Since I'm using a laptop right now I can't take a picture of my purse so here's the basic inventory:
Wallet
Phone
Kindle
iPod
Paperback
Lady products (You know what I'm sayin')
Tylenol
Lip balm
Mirror
Earrings
Mini package of Kleenex
A straw (I have sensitive teeth so I always carry some)
Bottle of Chanel No.5 or body spray
A pen & Notebook
IF my purse ever got stolen I'd flip out, I've already had my wallet and iPod stolen 2 years ago but never my purse.

What's in YOUR purse?

Dirty Little Secret #5

Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by at Under the Covers. Every Thursday they ask a question hoping to reveal other bloggers "dirty little secrets"

This week's question is:

Who is your favorite flawed hero and/or heroine and why do you still love them despite their faults?

Since I don't really have a favourite flawed heroine I'll just answer with my favourite flawed hero which is Zsadist from J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series. He has major issues from his past that results in him being an emotionless, lethal killer but deep down he's a softy when it comes to two girls in his life; Bella and Nalla. I loved his book in the series and because Ward mentions him at least a little in each book we the readers see him changing and evolving.

Lover Awakened (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #3)

Who is YOUR favourite flawed hero and/or heroine?

Dirty Little Secret #4

Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by at Under the Covers. Every Thursday they ask a question hoping to reveal other bloggers "dirty little secrets"

This week's question is:

If you could visit any country with a fictional character as your guide, who would you pick and why?

Hmmm... Good question.
I think I would bring Jamie Fraser from Diana Gabldon's Outlander series. If I ever had a fictional crush it would be on him. I mean honestly, who doesn't love a big, brawny Highlander?
I'd also pick him since he's closer to my age than a lot of the heros in the books I read.
I'd love to visit Scotland with him even though it isn't much of a vacation for him since he lives there but that's where I'd go.

Now, which fictional character would YOU pick as your guide?

Dirty Little Secret #3

Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by  at Under the Covers. Every Thursday they ask a question hoping to reveal other bloggers "dirty little secrets"

This week's question is:

If you had 600 million dollars to spend,
what would be the first thing you bought?
If I had 600 million dollars I would by building materials and build my parents a quaint but lovely little pioneer cottage like they've always wanted and have it built on the land where our existing cottage sits. I would make sure it had all modern amenities and would make it safe for them as they are aging :)

Pioneer log cabin
What would YOU buy first with 600 million dollars?

Dirty Little Secret #1

Dirty Little Secret is a weekly meme hosted by the lovely ladies at Under the Covers. Every Thursday they ask a question hoping to reveal other bloggers "dirty little secrets"

This week's question:
What book has been sitting in your TBR pile the longest and why haven't you picked it up yet? Or more importantly, will you ever read it now that its been sitting there for forever?

I have no idea what book has been on my tbr list the absolute longest but I do know that one that has been sitting on it for ages is:

When I first joined Goodreads this was the first paranormal series recommened to me that really caught my eye. I've heard really good things about it and I'm sad to say that I only recently picked up a copy of this a couple months ago when it was the Kindle Daily Deal. I'm hoping to start it in the next month or so. I really liked the author's first book in her Highlander series so I'm hoping this one is just as good.

Have YOU read this book? What did YOU think (NO SPOILERS). What book has been sitting on your tbr pile the longest? Go ahead and share your dirty little secret!
