This one is simple and just about sharing your favorite quotes and the books they come from! Hosted by the FABULOUS Anna at Herding Cats & Burning Soup
I'm a huge fan of Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin so I thought I'd share one of my favourite quotes from the first book in the series:
“What is honor compared to a woman's love? What is duty against the feel of a newborn son in your arms . . . or the memory of a brother's smile? Wind and words. Wind and words. We are only human, and the gods have fashioned us for love. That is our great glory, and our great tragedy.”
Oh I like. Very powerful. I do need to read these one day. I have the set sitting on my shelves just haven't worked up to them yet. Your teasers make me want to though!
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful quote. I think I'm going to read these on audio (if I can find them).
ReplyDeleteYes, that's very poetic and heartfelt. Sounds like a great series! I can see why so many people are addicted!
ReplyDeleteThat is quite a quote, powerful and so philosophical. I've never read GRRM, is that typical of his writing?
