I love me some Laurell K. Hamilton and her Anita Blake series is absolutely AMAZING so of course I had to share one of my favourite quotes from the first book in the Anita Blake series Guilty Pleasures.
“Theresa strode over to us in a swish of cloth. "Enough of this, animator. He can't do it, so he pays the price. Either leave now, or join us at our...feast."
Are you having rare Who-roast-beast?" I asked.
What are you talking about?"
It's from Dr. Seuss, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. You know the part, 'And they'd Feast! Feast! Feast! Feast! Feast! They would feast on Who-pudding and rare Who-roast-beast.'"
You are crazy."
So I've been told.”

Great quote! I read Guilty Pleasures years ago and really enjoyed it.

I read it for the first time when I was a teenager and loved it. I think I read the first 6 in the series then I discovered Goodreads and a whole bunch of other books got in the way. Thanks for stopping by Jan!
DeleteI've not read this, but anything that quotes Dr Suess can't be bad at all! :)
ReplyDeleteOh Liz you really have to read the series! It's amazing!
DeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteLaurell K. Hamilton is a genius!
DeleteLOL Gah I loved that series! I'm gonna have to do a re-read I think. It's been so long since I've read those early ones. Have you read her Merry Gentry one? So blasted good.
ReplyDeleteI re-read this one not too long ago and loved it. I have to get back into the other books and I still want to read her Merry Gentry series. I've heard how good it is for years!
