Quote-Tastic Monday #1

This one is simple and just about sharing your favorite quotes and the books they come from! Hosted by the FABULOUS Anna at Herding Cats & Burning Soup

Many of you know I'm a bit of an Outlander fangirl. True I haven't read the whole series (yet) but Jaime Fraser is PERFECTION written down on paper. I absolutely love Diana Gabaldon's series and her writing is amazing and I'm always moved by her books so I thought I would share one of my favourite quotes from her from:

Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander, #2)
Summary & Cover taken from Goodreads.com

“I will find you," he whispered in my ear. "I promise. If I must endure two hundred years of purgatory, two hundred years without you - then that is my punishment, which I have earned for my crimes. For I have lied, and killed, and stolen; betrayed and broken trust. But there is the one thing that shall lie in the balance. When I shall stand before God, I shall have one thing to say, to weigh against the rest."

His voice dropped, nearly to a whisper, and his arms tightened around me.

Lord, ye gave me a rare woman, and God! I loved her well.”

I just think that it one of the most passionate, intimate and moving passages I've ever come across in the book and I'm not gonna lie. I swooned more than a little bit when I read it.

  1. Well dang I about swooned over here too! And I don't even know him yet!! lol

This set (well 5 of them) is sitting on my kitchen counter. I bought them like 3 weeks ago and they've been in the car since letting me get my courage up to bring them in the house. They are flipping HUGE! So, we've made it to the kitchen. Next week...the living room. Maybe by June they'll make it up to the room. ;) But I will read them. I need to meet this man!

Thanks for joining this week Kimberly!!
